TimeShield Privacy Policy

Information used on your device

TimeShield uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks, with your permission, to manage access to apps, categories, and websites you select. Your blocklists, schedules, usage budgets, session state, and preferences are stored locally in storage shared by TimeShield and its extensions. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens and usage-threshold events for these features.

TimeShield keeps a local diagnostic event log to help troubleshoot scheduling and blocking. You can view and clear that log in Settings → Contact Support → Troubleshooting → Diagnostics. Diagnostic events may also be written to the device's operating-system logs.

Collection and sharing

TimeShield does not transmit your app selections, usage activity, control settings, or diagnostic log to the developer. The app has no account system, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics. We do not sell or share this on-device information with third parties.

Apple operates the Screen Time and App Store services under its own privacy practices. Device backups and system diagnostics may be managed by Apple according to your device settings.

Support correspondence

If you email choreus.ios@gmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. Support email is handled through Google's Gmail service. We use your correspondence to answer your request and resolve support issues, and retain relevant correspondence for follow-up support. Nothing from the app is attached automatically. Please avoid including sensitive app selections or browsing information.

Retention and your choices

Local settings remain until you change or remove them or delete the app. You can delete controls and blocklists within TimeShield; active controls may require a wait before changes. You can clear the app's diagnostic log in Settings → Contact Support → Troubleshooting → Diagnostics. Device backups and operating-system logs follow the system's retention rules.

You can revoke TimeShield's Screen Time permission in iOS Settings. Revoking access disables the app's ability to enforce controls. Contact choreus.ios@gmail.com to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

Changes

We will update this policy and its effective date if our practices change.
